Spanish national team head coach Vicente Del Bosque wants all of his players in peak condition before Euro 2016, so in order to make the cut, players must be playing regularly.
After the transfer deadline fiasco that saw Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea remain in the English Premier League despite Real Madrid wanting him, the Spanish goalkeeping position appears to be open.
Del Bosque told Marca that it would be “very difficult” to call in De Gea if he does not start regularly for Manchester United now. De Gea has yet to start in goal for the Red Devils in the 2015-16 campaign because the team and head coach Louis Van Gaal wanted a focused netminder to start the season.
“He needs to be professional and move on from this episode,” Del Bosque said. “I hope that he starts playing again and is happy, and if he plays well we can bring him along, otherwise if he doesn’t play it will be very difficult for him to come (to Euro 2016).”
De Gea currently is a member of Del Bosque’s squad for the team’s upcoming qualifiers against Slovakia and Macedonia.

COSTA RICA GIVES GOALKEEPER KEYLOR NAVAS TIME OFF TO FOCUS
Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas’ future has been uncertain for quite some time, and with the deal to Manchester United falling through, the Costa Rican national team is giving their star netminder some time off.
Navas had one foot out of the door ready to set sail for English powerhouse Manchester United Sunday, but improper paperwork left the Costa Rican goalkeeper in Spain. Now the his national team is resting him, despite upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Uruguay, in order to focus on improving and training, according to Goal.com.
“We understand that the situation taking Keylor is very difficult, the uncertainty of their future generates a great mental strain, so we wanted it to be him who makes the determination of whether or not he joins the team,” Costa Rican Football Federation (FEDEFUTBOL) secretary general Rafael Vargas said.
“So it was Keylor who told the president that he prefers to be in Spain, to talk with (the) leaders (of) Real Madrid and thus clarify what has been raised in recent days.”
BARCELONA MIDFIELDER SERGIO BUSQUESTS CLAIMS FOOTBALL IS BETTER THAN SEX
Appearing on Spanish TV, Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquests let the world know just how important the game was to him.
Touching on a number of topics, Busquests discussed goalkeeper David De Gea’s transfer fiasco, saying: “He was ready to change Manchester United for Madrid but … David will be happy anyway.” And he also joked with the audience about how football brings you more happiness than sex.
“In football, happiness lasts three or four days,” he reportedly told Spanish TV show El Hormiguero. “Sex, on the other hand, can last just one minute!”

What is Del Bosque going on about? Playing regularly to justify a call-up?? Nonsense! If they aren’t playing much, or are playing poorly, they clearly need a call-up and a dose of my Muti’s famous rectal Sonnenscheinenblassen to boost their confidence.
