Wil Trapp U.S. U-23s England 11

It’s a big night on television for American soccer, with the kickoff of one tournament and the culmination of another.

Olympic qualifying gets underway for Andi Hertzog and his U.S. U-23 Men’s National Team. Wil Trapp and company will take on Cuba in the first match of the tournament, bearing the burden of the nation after the last group failed to qualify.

The NWSL final is broadcast live from Portland as the Seattle Reign face off against last year’s champions FC Kansas City.

Four of the USWNT’s 2015 World Cup champions will represent their respective teams tonight, with Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe,  Heather O’Reilly, and Becky Sauerbrunn all poised to make appearances. This will be the final NWSL match for Lauren Holiday, who has chosen to retire after this season.

In the afternoon, AS Monaco will host Tottenham Hotspur as the Europa League continues with its second round of games. Other sizzling match-ups include Liverpool hosting FC Sion and Borussia Dortmund traveling to PAOK Salonika.

  1. I believe NBC Universo used to be Mun2, my cable provider hasn’t updated the TV guide to reflect the new correct listing. The game is listed on the schedule though for Mun2 though

  2. Like hamm said, we play Canada, not Cuba. Cuba plays at 530 again Panama on the same channel. I have uverse but unfortunately uverse doesn’t carry that channel in HD but I guess that’s better than nothing.
