While all of the stateside attention will be on the CONCACAF Cup clash between the U.S. and Mexico this weekend, Euro 2016 qualifying matches continue to roll on as several more countries look to punch their tickets to the continental tournament next year in France.

Group D continues to provide fireworks and drama as the trio of Germany, Poland and Republic of Ireland are still battling it out for the top spots, with Die Mannschaft leading with 19 points and the latter two trailing closely behind with 18.

Germany will try to rebound from Thursday’s 1-0 loss to Ireland when it hosts Georgia on Sunday while Robert Lewandowski looks to continue his scorching form when he leads the Polish at home against Ireland.

Elsewhere, Netherlands pays a visit to Kazakhstan hoping to pick up three vital points to remain in contention in Group A for a playoff berth, and England attempts to keep its perfect qualifying record intact when it takes on Estonia at Wembley Stadium on Friday.

Here is a rundown of all the weekend’s action on TV:

Comments

    • Come on man, its international soccer, we don’t get meaningful games that often, so when we do(and this qualifies as meaningful) us fans get excited and rightfully so.

If you cant get hyped for a one-off USA Mx game that’s not a friendly, gets to steppin.

    • One can always pump the brakes by opting out of the hype and not participating!
I rather enjoy uneventful events myself. Hoping to jump onboard the Liechtenstein Sweden hype train myself

    • When there is a Mex-US friendly cash grab (like the one last April, or the one the April before that) I can absolutely agree that the game is meaningless and doesn’t feed into the rivalry.

THIS is a game to be crowned the King of CONCACAF! This is a game to claim (stealing from Total Soccer Show) The Goldest Cup!! This IS a rivalry game!!!

Whether or not you pick a side of the should JK stay or should he go debate, even he has stated that this is the priority goal for this year. This game is the second biggest regional achievement next only to qualifying for the 2018 WC.

You should not confuse excitement with hype for this game. I say let’s ‘Cut those brakes!’

    • Is there going to be any English broadcasting for the game vs Honduras? I would assume that since Canada is still in it TSN or someone would be showing the games?
