The 2015 MLS Playoffs will see four teams eliminated and four surviving teams continue in in the quest to lift the MLS Cup. All four conference semifinals will be decided in today’s second legs, as a quartet of games will fill out a packed day of action.
The New York Red Bulls kick off proceedings at Red Bull Arena against D.C. United (3 p.m., ESPN). After posting a first-leg victory at RFK Stadium, the Red Bulls can reach the Eastern Conference final with a win or draw today.
The Columbus Crew are at home today (5 p.m., ESPN), but face a tougher challenge after dropping a 2-1 decision against the Montreal Impact in the first leg. Kei Kamara and Ethan Finlay will need to play much better to keep the Crew from being knocked off by the lower-seeded Impact.
Out West, FC Dallas hosts the Seattle Sounders (7:30 p.m., Fox Sports 1), needing to erase the 2-1 first-leg deficit, but stopping Obafemi Martins and Clint Dempsey won’t be easy.
Today’s action will conclude in Vancouver, with the Whitecaps clashing with the Portland Timbers (10 p.m., Fox Sports 1) after the Cascadia rivals finished the first leg without a goal.

Techera’s shot/pass that went over Watson’s head after that stolen ball in the ~ 16th minute. . .
That commentator exchange was golden. Brad was quiet for like 2-3 minutes afterwards.
Anytime brad is quiet thats a good thing.
Higher seed still perfect through out the playoffs, can Portland be the first to upset that?
What was the deal with Martins gor Seattle? Complete no show tonight.
Top 10 highest paid in MLS- Dos Santos, Keane, Dempsey, Altidore, Villa, Lampard, Gerrard, Bradley, Giovinco, and Kaka, all at home, If that good or bad for the league I’m not sure.
Does John Strong always act like hes coked up when calling a match? Dude needs to relax
haha this end has been nuts tho,
When I first heard him, probably when he first started out calling soccer, I thought he was a bit too low key. I think he has over compensated. What a game, though, and what an incredible finish to the first 90.
Rediculous for Kamara tobtake the PK. Soft call anyway on Ciman I guess.
Finlay has not looked good..
Columbus has been clearly the better team in both matches really, just can’t defend corners.
They keep saying ‘sold out’ red bull arena
Where are all the NYRB fans? Stuck at a town hall meeting somewhere?
