Chelsea has endured a forgettable season, but a midweek victory in UEFA Champions League has the Blues thinking about a turnaround, and if Jose Mourinho’s side is really going to put a halt to its run of bad results, a win against Stoke City today is a must.
Chelsea visits the Britannia today sitting in 15th place in the English Premier League, one spot behind behind the Potters. With three losses in four league matches, Chelsea absolutely must win on the road today to revive any hopes of climbing back into the top four. For Stoke City, today offers an opportunity to jump closer to the top half of the table, and U.S. international Geoff Cameron will be hoping to make his return from a recent thigh injury.
In Germany, reigning champion Bayern Munich will put its perfect record on the line against VfB Stuttgart, while Fabian Johnson and Borussia Moenchengladbach clashes with Alfredo Morales and FC Ingolstadt.
Back here in the states, the NASL playoffs kick off in New York, where the Cosmos take on the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in a match that could be the last one of the storied career of Spanish legend Raul.

I’m glad you stick up for your man and hold that grudge against Sunderland.
I just fight the good fight for reality n logic’s sake. Every time I see someone call jozys tfc season a “bad season” I laugh. How a 13 goal season is bad i don’t know. Someone in another board said “he’s doing just as bad as he was at Sunderland”…. Like really? Lol
At least he didnt get any reds from the bench while at Sunderland.
Btw:
SUNDERLAND……L…..O……L……….
Chelsea……..lol
Any word on u23 roster for the Brazil camp
Yedlin saves a backpost goal then gets kicked in the head… yikes
Ouch. I’m relieved that it wasn’t a sub-worthy injury. Thanks for the updates.
no prob, it’s my job. i was hired by USSF to cover all things SAFC 3 years ago; still awaiting another assignment. i think they’ve forgotten about me, i feel like I’m withering away……
L…..O…….L
Soccer isn’t for sissies. I once went to kick a ball and two other gjys running in opposite directions arrived at the same time as the ball and my upraised leg. I still can’t figure out how my leg wasn’t broken in two. That was almost 50 years ago, but still remember it clearly. Just shook it off and kept playing.
30′ in Yedlin with his usual decent showing. he’s had a couple clearances, a run or two forward, and lost his man defensively once maybe twice, also has given away the ball a couple times. he has obtained possession in the back then sent a long balls up to the sole striker (fletcher) who has generally lost the ball up top because he has no one to flick it to …… (sound familiar?……..a bunkering 4231?…. striker starving for service, etc…)
yedlin just with a nice toe trap from a 40yard lobbed pass.
I never win headers so no….it doesnt sound familiar

highlights of the match
a “Wondo Special”
Danke! He assisted on that second goal too, right?
Chicharito with another goal. His eighth in the last six games.
If he’s on the field he scores goals. Lots of them.
