It looks like Stoke City will have to make due without Geoff Cameron for the rest of the year.
Stoke has two games remaining in 2015, and Cameron is likely to miss them both with a hamstring injury. The 30-year-old defender sustained the knock in the Potters’ scoreless draw with West Ham United on Dec. 12, and will probably miss the upcoming showdowns with Manchester United on Saturday and Everton next Monday.
“It is probably a little too close to call with Geoff at the moment given the time before the game at the weekend,” Stoke manager Mark Hughes told StokeCityFC.com. “I would suggest that he is more likely to miss out than to play, however, which would mean we may not see him until the New Year.
“It’s a busy period for us and we certainly won’t be taking any risks with anyone. We have a large squad and we will utilize it if we feel the need to.”
If Cameron is held out of the next two matches, his next chance to step on the field is on Jan. 2 vs. West Bromwich Albion.
Cameron has been a staple for Stoke this season. He has appeared in 15 league games, 12 of which have come as a starter.
Think it’s smart for Stoke to hold Cameron out of the next two games? Still holding out hope that he plays in one of the matches? How would the club do without him vs. Manchester United and Everton if he doesn’t suit up?

Rumor has it that Ryan Giggs will be the new manager against Stoke this weekend.
Oh and he’d only be the interim manager until the end of the year at which time Jose Mourinho will be new manager. Which means Pep is probably going to Man City.
Obviously the after-effects of Klinsmann’s torturous training sessions.
