MLS releases initial 59-player list for 2016 MLS Combine

A select group of college players have been invited to have the chance to prove themselves at the 2016 MLS Combine.

MLS announced on Friday that 59 players comprise the initial invite list for the 2016 MLS Combine, which is set to be held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from Jan. 7-12. The players, all of whom have completed their college eligibility, were selected by a committee of MLS coaches and NCAA Division I coaches.

The field features eight players set to participate in the upcoming College Cup, which will see Syracuse take on Clemson while Stanford takes on Akron. In addition, the invite list is comprised of six MAC Herman Trophy semifinalists, including Clemson’s Paul Clowes and Kyle Fisher, Stanford’s Brandon Vincent, and Georgetown and New York Red Bull Academy product Brandon Allen.

    • Funny – i played with his older brothers in Fair Lawn. He always seemed like the brother who wasn’t going to be a good player. ironically he might be the best of the bunch (though rino did play professionally in germany for several years)
