Soccer Monday: Your Running Commentary

It’s a match between extremely underachieving and overachieving English Premier League teams on Monday, as Jose Mourinho and Chelsea head to Claudio Ranieri and Leicester City.

After 15 games in the EPL, Chelsea sit just a point out of the relegation zone in 16th, while story-of-the-season Leicester City sits in third with a chance to top the table with a win on Monday. Unbelievable performances all season long from the likes of Jamie Vardy, Shinji Okazaki and Riyad Mahrez sharply contrast the abysmal outings of Chelsea’s stars in Eden Hazard, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas.

Elsewhere, Lazio hosts Sampdoria in Serie A action, with one of the two middle-table sides looking to break from the pack and challenge for European competition next season.

In the English Championship, U.S. international Eric Lichaj and Nottingham Forest travel to the Blackburn Rovers in another battle between mid-table sides.

    • I find Mourinho a little annoying, but why would you want another man to loose his job? His players are not being professionals and giving up on him? Hazard is acting like a spoiled baby. Iva and Terry have aged out. As obnoxious as he is, he is a proven and successful manager.
