Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

Following Jose Mourinho’s exit on Thursday, Chelsea’s next chapter begins on Saturday.

The Blues are just one point above the relegation zone entering the weekend in the English Premier League, and a test against Sunderland is on the docket.

While the game is at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea has only won three of its eight EPL games there during the 2015-16 campaign. However, the Black Cats come into Saturday’s match on a poor stretch of their own, having lost their last two games.

Meanwhile, the German Bundesliga’s top two teams in Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will look to continue to seperate themselves from the rest of the field on Saturday. After extending contracts to a quartet of stars on Friday, including German international Thomas Müller, Bayern will head to HDI-Arena to play Hannover 96.

    • Yep… Use to be exciting to get on this site and come and comment and chat about every game going on but ever since the new format, its been all downhill from there. Sort of like the MLS comment board after the upgrade.

  1. Probably not a bad thing for Yedlin to start on the bench against a motivated Chelsea. After being subbed out early in the game last week, it could have been a psychological set back if he was on the field for another drubbing.
