Soccer Sunday: Your Running Commentary

Tottenham-Newcastle-Getty-Images

While Napoli-Roma headlines Sunday’s action, an intriguing battle in England could see a long winning streak snapped.

Tottenham enters Sunday’s clash with Newcastle having not lost since Oct. 22. The Magpies come into White Hart Lane as the underdog, but they are also coming off a massive win against Liverpool and will look to upset another top dog in the English Premier League.

In Italy, Lorenzo Insigne and Napoli are on a roll, and they will hope the form continues against AS Roma in Serie A action. A win for both sides is vital, though, as first-place Inter Milan won on Saturday.

Meanwhile, three titles on this side of the Atlantic will be won on Sunday. The 2015 College Cup final pits No. 2 Clemson against No. 8 Stanford, the CONCACAF Women’s U-20 Championship final will see the U.S. do battle against Canada and the Liga MX Apertura champion will be crowned.

  1. Agree with the above posters. I can live with the declining quality of the writing here because most of the time I can read about whatever is on here elsewhere. However, the redesign actually made the site significantly less user friendly and the decline in comments is no accident.
