Minutes might be hard to come by at Club Tijuana for Amando Moreno, but they will not be if he can continue to make the most of his opportunities like he did on Tuesday.
Moreno lifted Tijuana to a 2-1 victory in the Copa MX on Tuesday night, as he came off the bench to score a well-taken winner in the 86th minute. Moreno entered the game vs. Murcielagos in the 57th minute when Xolos trailed, but he capped off the home side’s comeback with a nice turn and left-footed finish to the near post as the match neared its conclusion.
The goal was the 20-year-old forward’s first for the club since March 4, 2015, and third overall. All his finishes have come in Copa MX play.
Three other Americans saw time for Tijuana on Tuesday. Michael Orozco and Paul Arriola both started and went the distance, and Fernando Arce Jr came off the bench after Moreno’s goal to help close out the match.
