After reports surfaced last night about the Los Angeles Galaxy’s interest in AC Milan midfielder Nigel De Jong, Bruce Arena’s side is reportedly in the market for another European addition:

The Galaxy are reportedly targeting Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott in an attempt to solidify the team’s back line following the recent departure of USMNT center back Omar Gonzalez. The English Premier League veteran has 18 months remaining on his current contract. (REPORT)

The Montreal Impact may have found a temporary replacement for Didier Drogba in 2016, as the club has reportedly expressed interest in Monaco striker Guido Carrillo. The 24-year old has scored one goal in 15 matches this season for the Ligue 1 side. (REPORT)

Jordan Schweitzer became the Seattle Sounders’ sixth Homegrown signing, joining the club after a successful college career at the University of Denver. (REPORT)

Real Salt Lake announced on Thursday that the club had re-signed defensive duo Demar Phillips and Phanuel Kavita. Phillips joined the Western Conference side in 2015 after spending significant time with Norwegian side Aalesund, while Kavita also joined the team as a Homegrown signing. (REPORT)

The MLS Players Union announced the appointment of former player Ty Harden and labor lawyer Johnny Andris. Harden will serve as a player relations manager, while Andris will serve as staff counsel and will join the Union’s legal department.

What do you think of the Galaxy’s reported interest in Lescott? Is Carrillo a suitable replacement for Drogba in Montreal?
