Los Angeles FC may have stolen the spotlight in the city with its crest announcement on Thursday, but reports out of Italy have a Dutch international linked to the five-time MLS Cup champions.
According to multiple reports in Italy, the LA Galaxy are reportedly interested in acquiring 31-year-old midfielder Nigel Del Jong from Serie A side AC Milan. Goal USA also reported that the MLS side is in talks to bring him across the Atlantic.
De Jong has not featured much for Milan during the 2015-16 campaign, and the report goes on to say that he is currently considering the move.
Milan currently sits seventh on the Italian table with 28 points through 18 games, five of which De Jong started. Since his international debut in 2004, De Jong has made 81 appearances for the Netherlands, including a start in the 2010 World Cup final against Spain.
What do you think of this report? Would De Jong be a good fit with the Galaxy should he join?
