Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

There may be more than 10 FA Cup ties kicking off in England on Saturday, but no match is more important than the contest at Camp Nou.

Barcelona hosts Atlético Madrid in Saturday’s headliner. Both sides enter the game on 48 points, but Luis Enrique’s side has a match in hand. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are likely to lead Barcelona, and while Neymar suffered an injury during the week, the head coach said the Brazilian star is still likely to play.

Meanwhile, Liverpool-West Ham United, Borussia Dortmund-Ingolstadt, Angers-AS Monaco and Pachuca-Monterrey are four other matchups to keep an eye on as the day moves along.

  1. Question about tomorrow’s USMNT game. All the articles on the Internet says game time 12:45, yet my comcast guide shows it as ESPN “live” at 1pm.

Anyone else notice this or have an explanation? I’ll be sure to set my DVR for an early start tho. If nothing else I’ll get to see who wins the coveted Japan invitational bowling title!

  2. I swear I’m being level headed when I say this, but he is playing fantastic. He had this sick pause with the ball in the middle of the field that spring a fast break, and wow, he’s QUICK to get to that touch line boy!!

(And as I type this, second goal for Dortmund since he’s come on!!)
