MLS Ticker: Ciman extends, Fire, Red Bulls and more

The 2015 MLS Defender of the Year will remain in the league for a couple more years.

Laurent Ciman has signed an extension with the Montreal Impact, one that will see the defender stay with the Canadian club until 2018. The 29-year-old centerback was voted MLS Defender of the Year in 2015 after makingĀ 27 regular season appearances. (REPORT)

The Chicago Fire are reportedly interested in bidding for Malmo FF midfielder Enoch Kofi Adu. The 25-year-old Adu has scored two goals in 42 appearances the past two seasons forĀ Malmo. (REPORT)

New York City FC defeated USL club Oklahoma City Energy FC, 1-0, in a scrimmage at the IMG Academy. David Villa scored the game’s only goal. (REPORT)

  1. Wait, admittedly I don’t follow minor leagues much beyond attending the occasional RBNY II game but there are two teams in OKC now? Seriously? Two professional teams in a tiny midwestern (OK is midwest right) town?
