MLS Ticker: Crew waive Gall, Sporting KC kit and more

The Columbus Crew have reportedly waived Romain Gall and Sergio Campbell. Gall, a former U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team midfielder, made three appearances in two years for the club, while 2015 draft pick Campbell played once. (REPORT)

Sporting Kansas City has unveiled its new dark blue secondary kit, which features a henley collar, a new stripe pattern and a pair of silver stars to recognized the club’s MLS Cup victories. (REPORT)

  1. This league has $7M per year players. Some teams have $20M payroll. The pressure is on. The days of development players on the senior team are over. Hopefully these guys can catch on at the usl level to continue their careers.

    • I’d rather teams spend the 50-125K on young players like Gall than spend 150-250K on Old, Injured, relics like Gordon, MaGee, & the other Old washed up players.

  2. Disappointed to hear about Gall. He showed well during the U-20 WC Qualification tournament last year. Hopefully he gets picked up by someone else and has a chance to continue to develop.
