League leaders in Spain, Italy and France will be in action on Sunday, while the Capital One Cup final takes place at Wembley Stadium.

Liverpool and Manchester City will battle it out for this year’s Capital One Cup title. With both sides still playing in European competitions, the Reds in the UEFA Europa League and City in the UEFA Champions League, today’s match will give one team massive competition as the season winds down.

Barcelona-Sevilla, Juventus-Inter Milan and Lyon-PSG will all be on the docket this afternoon, with each side currently holding the top spot in their respective leagues. PSG currently holds the largest lead of the three, with a 24-point advantage over second place AS Monaco in Ligue 1.

Title-chasers Arsenal and Tottenham will each be playing in the English Premier League, as well. Both teams sit two points behind league leader Leicester City, and a win will be vital for Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

In Mexico, eighth place Tijuana will travel to Guadalajara. Chivas comes into Sunday’s matchup without a victory through seven games played.

    • Wood starts but after that who knows, I guess Zardes, Morris will be with the U23’s so maybe Agudelo and Dempsey, even tho neither were in the January camp.

      • Zardes is too old for the group, you have to have been born on or after Jan. 1 1993. Zardes was born in 1991, you must have been thinking of someone else. Also, why Agudelo is not eligible even though he’s 23, born in Nov. 1992.

      • Sorry, I should have put that differently. I just meant we won’t see Morris as he’ll be with the U23s. With Jozy out I think we’ll see just 3 forwards being, Wood, Zardes, and Dempsey, against Guatemala. Then more attacking/wide midfielders with Bedoya, Johnson, Nguyen, Finlay, Nagbe. Just my guess tho.

      • Yeah, I was in the show. I was in the show for 21 days once – the 21 greatest days of my life. You know, you never handle your luggage in the show, somebody else carries your bags. It was great. You hit white balls for batting practice, the ballparks are like cathedrals, the hotels all have room service, and the women all have long legs and brains.

    • Strange that he’d go from the full team to the U19s. They had match with 2nd place Schalke so maybe there’s something there. You would have thought they’d send him to the U23s if it was just a demotion.

      • I could be wrong, but I would imagine BVB’s reserve squad has a maximum of players, and would probably need to drop/terminate a contract to make room for Pulisic.

Plus the reserve squad has other goals in addition to providing a place for senior squad development. I know Wagner was getting upset/annoyed when Gyau, who was slated to be integrated first into BVB II, began training with the first team. Klopp calling up Gyau was messing with Wagner’s gameplan. It could simply be that there’s no point in having Pulisic now try and integrate into his third different squad this season alone.
