The round of 32 in the UEFA Europa League will come to an end on Thursday, and many teams have work to do in order to progress in this year’s tournament.
Manchester United is currently trailing FC Midtjylland, 2-1, on aggregate, but hosts the Danish club at Old Trafford on Thursday afternoon. Villarreal holds a 1-0 advantage over Italian club Napoli, while FC Porto may need some luck after losing the first leg of the series, 2-0, to Borussia Dortmund.
Liverpool-Augsburg, Tottenham-Fiorentina and Schalke 04-Shakhtar Donetsk come into Thursday’s second legs tied.
In the evening, Copa Libertadores action kicks off. Argentine giant River Plate visits Estadio José Alberto Pérez to play Trujillanos in the group stage.
