The UEFA Champions League returned with a taste of action on Tuesday, and Wednesday offers yet another clash of European powers.
Real Madrid, winners of three straight La Liga contests, headlines Wednesday’s action with a visit to Italy to take on Roma. Meanwhile, in other Champions League action, German club Wolfsburg pays a visit to Belgium’s Gent.
While Real Madrid are occupied with Champions League action, their biggest rivals, Barcelona, will focus on furthering their grip on La Liga with a visit to 16th place Sporting Gijon.
In other action, the Copa Libertadores returns with a slate of four games, while Chivas de Guadalajara vs. Universidad Guadalajara headlines a two-game schedule of Copa MX action.
