Josh Doughty’s name was one of 36 players called into January’s U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team camp, but he didn’t attend, and now the Manchester United product has re-joined Canada for camp.

Canada announced on Tuesday that Doughty had received clearance to join Canada’s U-20 squad for camp in England. Doughty, who was born in Canada to British parents, moved to Arizona when he was four years old and spent several seasons as a member of Real Salt Lake’s development academy.

The 18-year-old forward has played for Canada since debuting for the club at the U-16 level, and is still eligible to represent the U.S.

“I probably have some choices to make in the future,” Doughty told the Edmonton Sun in September, “but for now I’m just focused on Canada.”

Doughty signed with Man United in Jan. 2014, and joined the club later that year in November after receiving international clearance. Most recently, Doughty has featured for the English club’s U-21 team.

What do you think of the latest Doughty news? Surprised to see him feature for Canada again? What do you expect from him going forward?
