After yesterday’s craziness around European soccer, Thursday hopes to provide more drama in both club and international matches.
La Liga leader Barcelona can extend its massive unbeaten streak of 34 games today against Rayo Vallecano, while Espanyol takes on Real Betis and Granada hosts Sporting Gijón.
The U.S. Women’s National Team will kick off the SheBelieves Cup this evening, when Jill Ellis’ side takes on England. The round-robin tournament also features European powerhouses France and Germany.
As teams vie for the opportunity to be promoted to the English Premier League next season, Championship clubs Hull City and Birmingham City will square off. The Tigers currently sit second on the table, but could overtake leader Burnley with a victory, while Birmingham is four points out of the league’s final playoff position.
With three teams punching their tickets to the semifinals on Wednesday, Marseille and Granville will look to round out the bunch in the Coupe de France.
