Europe’s top leagues will be on display Tuesday afternoon, while competitions in North and South America heat up later in the evening.

English Premier League leader Leicester City, currently two points clear of Tottenham Hotspur, will host West Bromwich Albion, while a surging Chelsea travels to Norwich City.

Fresh off its 1-0 victory against rival Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid will host Real Sociedad with the opportunity to keep its slim title hopes alive. Meanwhile, AC Milan will host Alessandria in the second leg of its Coppa Italia semifinals pairing. Mario Balotelli’s first-leg goal gives Milan the slim advantage heading into Tuesday’s fixture.

In South America, the Copa Libertadores rolls on with four matches set to be played. All four sides in Group 4 will be in action this evening, when Atlético Nacional faces Sporting Cristal and Peñarol plays host to Huracán.

MLS sides D.C. United and the Los Angeles Galaxy hope to keep their CONCACAF Champions League dreams alive, when they face Querétaro and Santos Laguna, respectively. D.C. currently trails 2-0 before the sides meet at RFK Stadium, while the Galaxy and Santos head back to Mexico locked in a goalless tie.

  1. Yedlin with the assist. Post game kit swap with Bolasie was pretty cool.

Another up and down game but with more ups this time. Yedlin is fast… Late game crosses you could tell he had tired legs tho. The ability to consistently beat the opposition 1v1 will definitely not go un-noticed. Should still have his spot over Billy Elliot, unless there’s a rotation to stay fresh with close games.

His passing is still uncertain. He still, in the middle of the field during a build, has the tendency to have permanent ‘don’t EFF up’ face. But once unlocked towards the corner he has the ability to get a cross off anytime…. Now let’s just teach him how to cross CONSISTENTLY and we’ll have a nice mini dani alves lol

  2. WBA has 7 shots on target in the last 140 mins of football… they have 5 goals…. stunning rate of return

  3. Very disappointing about Miazga. I didn’t expect him to play for Chelsea this season (or ever), but 2 starting Central D’s out and he doesn’t make the bench?! What would the circumstances need to be for him to step on the field? Everyone gets sick at the same time? In this case, they should have loaned him out right away (for example to red Bulls as was the case with Yedlin and Seattle). I hope that they at least allow him to join U23 team for playoffs against Colombia, but I have a feeling they will not.

    • anyone who expected him to start regularly over ivanovic or cahill was kidding themselves. however, i was hoping for them to rest one of them for at least one of these two games against norwich and stoke, before terry comes back.

i have no explanation as to why he’s not at least on the bench.

  4. yedlin starts; no miazga in 18–was hoping he’d get minutes in either this game or against stoke on saturday.

    • Miazga hasn’t made the bench the last two games, seems odd considering their depth and his inclusions on the bench for previous games.
