The German Bundesliga is starting to become a common place for young Americans to land overseas.
On his personal Twitter account, Haji Wright announced he had signed a contract with Schalke 04. His announcement confirms reports, which linked him with a move to the German club following his 18th birthday, from January.

Wright, who turned 18 on March 27, is a former member of the LA Galaxy academy. He signed with NASL club New York Cosmos ahead of the 2015 Spring Season, providing one assist in three first-team appearances in the league before moving overseas.
At the international level, the forward most recently represented the U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team at the 2015 Under-17 World Cup in Chile. He started in one of his three appearances for the U.S. during the tournament.
