It’s that time of the year again. Yes, time to vote on which players will represent MLS in this year’s All-Star Game.
The ballot consists of two different methods of voting: the online vote and playing EA Sports FIFA 16.
The traditional voting process online remains the same, with 160 eligible players (eight per team) in the running for selection. Fans can choose up to 10 players — one goalkeeper, three defenders, four midfielders and two forwards.
Where does FIFA 16 come in? Good question. The 11th player, a third forward, on the 2016 All-Star starting squad will be decided by the video game when fans score a goal using a forward from a pre-selected list.
After that it’s simple, the forward with the most goals will earn the team’s final spot to take on English Premier League giants Arsenal.
All-Star head coach Dominic Kinnear will select the final roster based off of the fan vote, two MLS commissioner picks and players that receive at least two MLS player votes in the player voting process.
The 2016 MLS All-Star Game will take place on July 28 at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California.
Which players do you want to see in the All-Star Game? Which MLS team will have the most representatives?
