The Montreal Impact brought in a reinforcement at striker on Thursday, while the team could be missing Didier Drogba for longer than expected.

The Impact announced the signing of Italian attacker Matteo Mancosu on loan from Serie A side Bologna. The 31-year-old spent the second half of last season with Carpi on loan. (REPORT)

Drogba could miss more time with the Impact, as the striker is reportedly set to travel to Qatar next week for a friendly match with close friend Samuel Eto’o. The 36-year-old missed last Saturday’s win against the New England Revolution with a thigh injury. (REPORT)
