    • Probably a little of both. I was switching channels back and forth watching Pulisic and Bobby Wood and unfortunately both had pedestrian games today. Pulisic didn’t play badly, just that he hardly got any action; all the play seemed to be coming from the other wing.

      • frankly, the first half of his last game was underwhelming as well–very much a case of “not bad, just forgettable”. to his credit, he turned it around in the second half, but if today’s game was anything like the last, i wouldn’t be surprised if he got pulled for performance reasons.

    • He actually played quite well. Getting past his man on the side line, drawing fouls, and earning a corner. Running by people a couple times even though it was clear he looked a bit drained; he went to the ground a couple times where I thought he would’ve normally stayed up.
He was getting a little bit frustrated at some of the perceived non-calls.

That said he was still tracking back and looking dangerous going forward, and had he stayed in I’m pretty sure he would’ve been involved in a goal or two.

I think him getting subbed at half was part of the plan going into this game.

  2. I’m interested in the games tomorrow too. I think we may see Cameron Carter-Vickers and Julian Green in action. These busy midweek fixture games are perfect to get a sense of where our younger players are in the pecking order. Hopefully a few more of them start to see more time.

Also, Pulisic is so fun to watch!
