Saturday was an eventful day for the contingent of Americans Abroad.
Leading the charge was U.S. Men’s National Team fullback Timmy Chandler, who had a standout performance in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich. After proving consistent presence throughout the match, Chandler fed Marco Fabian for the equalizing goal, helping earn his side a tie with the league’s best team.
Reading’s Danny Williams and Hearts’ Bjorn Johnsen both provided goals for their respective sides. The former’s finish earned Reading a 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers, while the latter scored the second of two Hearts goals in a 2-0 win over Dundee.
Elsewhere, Matt Miazga made his first Vitesse start in a thrilling draw, while DeAndre Yedlin played in the midfield in a substitute appearance for Newcastle.
