Fabian Johnson will not take part in Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Celtic.

Borussia Monchengladbach announced on Tuesday that Johnson will miss the match due to illness. Johnson remained in Germany as the team traveled to Glasgow, joining Thorgan Hazard, Andreas Christensen and Raffael among those that remained at home.

Johnson, who started and played 87 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Hamburg over the weekend, started Monchengladbach’s first UCL match of the group stage before entering as a 48th minute substitute in the second. The midfielder recently joined the U.S. Men’s National Team for the recent 2-0 friendly win against Cuba before returning to his club ahead of the group’s second friendly of the international break.

Entering Wednesday, Monchengladbach sits last place in Group C. Barcelona currently leads the group with six points while Manchester City and Celtic follow with four points and one point, respectively.
