Sunday was an undoubted success for Andrew Wooten, but few other Americans took off for the international break on positive notes.
Wooten scored a goal while also adding an assist in Sandhausen’s win over 1860 Munich. The goal was Wooten’s fifth league goal of the season as well as his fifth finish in his past six games in all competitions.
Of the other Americans Abroad, only Matt Miazga, Josh Gatt and Cole Grossman logged heavy minutes. Miazga continues to assert himself as a member of Vitesse’s starting lineup, but the on-loan Chelsea centerback’s latest match proved a 2-1 loss to Heracles. The Norwegian league duo, meanwhile, alternated a win and a loss as Grossman’s Stabaek cruised while Gatt’s Molde faltered.
