The post-Thanksgiving soccer schedule is a busy one for the contingent of Americans Abroad.
Bundesliga matchups headline the weekend, beginning with a clash between Christian Pulisic’s Borussia Dortmund and Timmy Chandler’s Eintracht Frankfurt. Following a Champions League defeat, Julian Green and Bayern Munich are back in action for a tough match against Bayer Leverkusen while Fabian Johnson and Borussia Monchengladbach take on Hoffenheim.
Liga MX also provides plenty of action with the second round of the league’s quarterfinal round. William Yarbrough’s Club Leon is in the best position, with a 3-0 advantage over Tijuana. Omar Gonzalez and Pachuca are behind a goal to Necaxa, while Luis Silva, Jose Torres and Tigres enter Saturday’s clash with Pumas following a 2-2 draw in the first leg. Finally, Ventura Alvarado’s Club America visits Chivas de Guadalajara following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
In other action, Bob Bradley and Swansea City host Crystal Palace, Lynden Gooch and Sunderland face a tough challenge against Liverpool and Andrew Wooten looks to continue his hot streak against Union Berlin.

Arriola and Ibarra not in the 18, 2 more possible MLS players?
Pretty discouraging. Out of all the yanks that could possibly be involved in this game, it’s only Yarbrough starting (and getting worked 3-0 currently) and Orozco on the bench.
Johnsen with a brace today.
here are the goals…

His mother likely had very little input on his name.
I don’t know, he’s done fine everywhere he’s gone, but at 25 he is who he is, and who he is doesn’t have a great strike rate, and in leagues of less caliber than MLS.
That said, theres no real reason why someone like Juan Agudelo should be ahead of him, other than his familiarity with our program/NT.
Bradley breaks through. what a game!! 5-4
proud moment for all soccer Americans
i started watching in the 65th minute. you’re welcome, everybody.
Thank you Nate…damn what a final half hour it was!
It would be helpful if you added times and how to watch the game.
Bob Bradley=Charlie Strong
Timbers need wingers, especially if Nagbe leaves. I’m cool with checking them out.
None of our boys abroad in their respective 18’s today.
Well, not out of the three guys on the list. Shane O’Neil started for NAC Brenda.
Yeah I wonder if any MLS sides go after Boyd or Kiesewetter.
I sure hope so! I just Wish #ATLUTD would have waited before signing Kenwyne Jones. Terrance would have been a better long term move. Kiesewetter would be a good investment opportunity as well.
Orlando City/Houston Dynamo should go get another winger…Jerome would be a good fit for either of those teams!
