Americans Abroad Weekend Preview: Pulisic, Johnson, Brooks and more

Following a tumultuous international break, to say the very least, the contingent of Americans Abroad return to action with their club teams this weekend, and some big matches are on the docket.

A clash between Christian Pulisic and Julian Green headlines the schedule, as Borussia Dortmund takes on Bayern Munich in Der Klassiker. Bayern Munich enters the weekend top of the Bundesliga, six points ahead of fifth-place Dortmund.

German action continues with several other intriguing matches, as Fabian Johnson, John Brooks, Timmy Chandler and Bobby Wood lead a group of U.S. Men’s National Team regulars looking to bounce back from a pair of international defeats.

Elsewhere, Lynden Gooch and Sunderland host Hull City, Bob Bradley’s Swansea City takes on Everton and Omar Gonzalez’s Pachuca faces Ventura Alvarado and Club America in Liga MX action.

    Brooks and Chandler projected starters, Johnson and Pulisic not expected to start. Dortmund’s twitter also did not have CP in their projected lineup.
