Soccer Wednesday: Your Running Commentary


Eight Champions League matches highlight a full slate of soccer on Wednesday.

Tottenham will host Bayer Leverkusen in the marquee games after both teams drew, 0-0, in Germany in the first meeting. Christian Pulisic and Borussia Dortmund will try to keep pace in Group F by defeating Sporting CP, and Leicester City will attempt to maintain its perfect record in the group stage.

Elsewhere, the Copa MX final kicks off on Wednesday night, while the Copa Sudamericana semifinals continue as well.

  1. Bryan Ruiz and Pulisic just battled it out for a ball. CONCACAF action in the Champions League! I’ve always respected the heck out of Ruiz; really good player, just not athletic enough for the Prem, but very very skilled.

  2. Pulisic fouled in the box, no call.

    Later, he controls a ball wonderfully in the box and finds a pass to help create the first goal!
