Hello everybody. I want to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you SBI Soccer readers out there. We hope you are enjoying some time off, quality family time and a few peeks at SBI in between your unwrapping of presents and celebrating.

Normally there isn’t any soccer action on Christmas Day, but the second leg of the Liga MX final takes place tonight between Club America and Tigres, giving soccer fans something to satisfy their cravings for action. If European soccer is more your speed, the full slate of Boxing Day action will be here on Monday, including a vital match for Swansea City manager Bob Bradley.

Thank you for making SBI part of your Christmas tradition. For those of you who have been around with us for a while, you might know that this is the 10th straight year of our Merry Christmas post, with the familiar Santa playing soccer image. That image has come to symbolize not only the holiday, but also another year of SBI in the books.

The new year is fast approaching, and we at SBI Soccer are already working on some fun things for the New Year, but if you find yourself bored today be sure to check out the first SBI 2017 MLS Draft Big Board, which dropped on Christmas Eve.
