Sebastian Giovinco has been one of the best players in MLS for the past two seasons and, according to his agent, it doesn’t appear that will be changing any time soon.

According to Sport Italia, Giovinco’s agent, Andrea D’Amico said the former Italian international will not be returning to Serie A. The Toronto FC striker had seventeen goals and five assists in 2016 and barely missed out on a championship as the Canadian club lost in penalty kicks to the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup final

“Giovinco’s not coming back to Italy,” D’Amico said. “He’s found a setting where he is enjoying huge satisfaction both on and off the field, including getting to within touching distance of the title.

“Football in the USA is growing rapidly and this growth of the whole movement there can be seen in the number of spectators flocking to the stadiums.”

In 2015, Giovinco was the top scorer in Major League Soccer while also notching the most assists en route to being named MLS MVP following an outstanding season. His 2016 was also exceptional but it was not good enough to be considered for selection for the Italian National Team for Euro 2016.The national team snubs had many speculating that Giovinco would be bound for Europe, but according to his agent, he does not intend to leave anytime soon.
