Cameron Carter-Vickers ascendancy through the Tottenham system continued with yet another positive performance on Sunday in FA Cup action.

Frequently named to the team’s bench in Premier League action, the young American centerback took his chance in cup play on Sunday, playing a full 90 minutes in a win over Aston Villa. Carter-Vickers and the Tottenham defense preserved a clean sheet, as Spurs advanced through second half goals from Ben Davies and Heung-Min Son.

Brad Guzan also preserved a clean sheet on Sunday as he returned in net for Middlesbrough for the second time in a week. The U.S. Men’s National Team goalkeeper helped Boro overcome a red card as the Premier League club toppled Sheffield Wednesday, 3-0.

Elsewhere, Edgar Castillo played a majority of Monterrey’s thrilling win over Puebla, while Tim Ream helped marshal Fulham past Cardiff City.
