The LA Galaxy continue to scour the globe for new players, and they have a Dutch-based midfielder on their radar.
The Galaxy are reportedly negotiating with NEC for midfielder Gregor Breinburg, according to Dutch website VoetbalZone.
“There is an offer made by LA Galaxy,” said Breinburg after NEC’s match versus Willem II. “It is with the club now. Today I played one game, we will see next week.”
Breinburg, 25, has played in 18 matches in the Eredivisie this season. The Aruba international is primarily a defensive midfielder.
D.C. United’s Jose Guillermo Ortiz scores twice in Costa Rica debut
D.C. United fans should be very excited about one of the team’s new acquisitions.
Jose Guillermo Ortiz, who joined D.C. on loan in December, made his debut for Costa Rica on Sunday and he did not disappoint.
The 24-year-old scored twice and provided an assist in Los Ticos’ 3-0 win over Belize. You can watch the goals below.

Patrice Bernier signs new contract with Impact
The Montreal Impact announced that captain Patrice Bernier has signed a new contract ahead of the 2017 season.
Bernier, 37, will be entering his ninth campaign with the Impact, which goes back to the team’s days in the USL.
“I am very excited to be able to finish my playing career at home with the Impact,” said Bernier. “I am proud that this will be my 18th professional season, including nine with the Impact. For my last season, I will give everything for the club and the city, with a hope that we finish with the MLS Cup.”
Bernier has played in 124 MLS games for the Impact while recording 13 goals and 21 assists.
Gershon Koffie officially signs with Swedish club Hammarby
Former Vancouver Whitecaps and New England Revolution midfielder Gershon Koffie has found a new club.
The 25-year-old officially signed with Swedish club Hammarby, ending years of speculation that the midfielder was headed to Europe.
Koffie played in 133 games with the Vancouver Whitecaps in their first five MLS seasons before he was traded to New England last year. The Ghanaian had less than one year left on his deal when he joined the Revs.
