Cup action takes centerstage on Wednesday as several Americans look to lead their team in tournaments both international and domestic.
With the return of the CONCACAF Champions League, Jose Torres and Tigres face off with fellow Liga MX side Pumas in the first leg of the tournament’s quarterfinals. The two-leg winner of the all-Liga MX affair will take on the winner of the New York Red Bulls’ series with the Vancouver Whitecaps, which also begins on Wednesday.
In domestic action, the Copa MX and Scottish Cup return on Tuesday as well, with Perry Kitchen and Hearts leading the way for a clash with Hibernian. Meanwhile ,Jonathan Bornstein, Jorge Villafana and Ventura Alvarado could all see the field in the Copa MX.
Elsewhere, Tim Ream and Fulham face a league clash with Bristol City in the English Championship.
