Following a midweek slate loaded with continental competition, domestic action takes center stage over the weekend, headlined by the schedule in Germany.

John Brooks and Hertha Berlin face the toughest test in a clash with Bayern Munich, who destroyed Arsenal in midweek Champions League action. On the other end of the table, Terrence Boyd looks to continue Darmstadt’s push back from relegation against Hoffenheim while Bobby Wood and Hamburg face off with Freiburg.

In England, FA Cup action continues as several Americans look to guide their teams further in the competition. American defenders could collide on Sunday as Tim Ream’s Fulham looks to complete the upset-filled week of Cameron Carter-Vickers’ Tottenham, who were shocked by Genk in Europa League action. Brad Guzan could see the field for Middlesbrough in a clash with underdogs Oxford United, while David Wagner and Huddersfield Town face long odds against Manchester City.

Elsewhere, Emerson Hyndman and Gedion Zelalem look to continue hot starts with their new clubs while Andrew Wooten looks to keep scoring goals for Sandhausen.

  1. I am interested to see if the transfers can make their first appearances with their new teams Ariyibi with Forest and Rubin with Silkeborg.

Also hoping Wagner can pull off the upset against Man City.

What is everyone else watching for this weekend?

    • Green, Hyndman and arriola, Trying to make a case to be on March roster. All 3 are in good form. I know people will disagree but they could all be nice bench options and all 3 have experience with senior team. Would rather have them than some older players who won’t play any way

      • Green is probably the only one that would make the team as he is the only one who has played any meaningful minutes with the Sr team. Although I agree, and wish Hyndman would get a look with the form he is in. I love Arriola’s game but I wouldn’t want to see him thrown in to a qualifier at this point.

      • Arriola played and scored in a WC qualifier against T&T last September. With him now playing a wingback roll I think his versatility would be an asset.

      • I can’t see Hyndman or Green getting a look with the senior team before this summer’s Gold Cup for the simple fact that those have just stared playing regularly at the club level. We need to allow our younger players time to establish themselves with their clubs and to be playing consistently, there is no need to rush them to the senior team just to ride the bench. Plus, who can you realistically say those 2 are a head of on the depth chart at their positions?? If the likes of Danny Williams, Morales, Kitchen, Stable or even Arriola can fail to get regular run with the senior team there is no way it’s happening right now. Their continued development is what’s best and that’s again playing regularly and consistently with their club team, let’s slow down on this idea that they can immediately help the senior team in a WCQ right now because it’s not really logical. Arriola has a chance though.
