David Wagner charged over celebration vs. Leeds United

Huddersfield Town and David Wagner earned a dramatic win in the Yorkshire derby on Sunday, but it came at a price.

Huddersfield and Wagner were both charged on Tuesday due to the German-American’s celebration after his team scored a late winner against Leeds United.

Wagner then clashed with Leeds manager Garry Monk in the technical area, which sparked a small altercation between both teams.

Monk and Leeds were also charged for failing “to ensure their players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour, contrary to FA Rule E20(a).”

Wagner’s Huddersfield is currently fourth place in the Championship, one point above Monk and Leeds in fifth.
