All they need now is a draw against El Salvador and they will finish no worse than 2nd and go to the WC. I take back all the verbal brickbats I directed toward Ramos. And despite some of the complaining here, the only thing that matters in a tournament is the score. There are no style points in soccer.
Great intensity from the team this evening! Super impressed by Luca De La Torre. They are combining better as the tourney progresses and if they can learn to finish some chances they’ll get to the WC. That’s all that matters. Where are all the Ramos haters now!!
Well earned win, US the better team on the day. Should have been 3-0.
The few mins I saw, the US had 2 easy scoring chances they blew
Glad they won but they looked very sloppy at times with their first touch. Could have shot themselves in the foot very easily, luckily they didn’t need those two breakaways they should have scored…
Nice win! And good job by our boys to keep playing to win (until the last few minutes.) No BS time wasting for 40 minutes.
Our boys are being super aggressive. Pressing Mexico like crazy and have them flustered. Pretty good half. Only minor quibbles would be Williamson’s struggling with his passing and Klinsmann’s distribution out of bounds repeatedly…but they’re minor quibbles. We’re definitely not allowing Mexico to do anything…or really have the ball.

Univision Deportes my friend.
1-0 USA. Erik-Palmer Brown with a header from a corner kick. Mexico tried to clear it off the line and scuffed it into the net.
Any update so far
