MLS Week 2: Your Live Commentary

Photo by Peter Aiken/USA Today Sports

The second week of MLS play begins on Saturday and weather is certain to be a major factor.

Inclement weather caused the cancellation of the New England Revolution’s clash with Orlando City and several more matches should be affected by frigid conditions. The New York Red Bulls and Philadelphia Union will both face the cold when they take on the Colorado Rapids and Toronto FC, respectively.

The day starts with the Chicago Fire’s clash with Real Salt Lake while action heats up in the evening with matchups pitting big time playoff contenders. The Montreal Impact and Seattle Sounders look to bounce back in their interconference matchup this evening before Sporting KC takes on FC Dallas in a meeting of two of the WEstern Conference’s top sides.

Later at night, the Houston Dynamo host the Columbus Crew before the Vancouver Whitecaps visit the Sane Jose Earthquakes.

Comments

  1. Kicked off in Chicago and the Fire have the lead 10 minutes in. Nikolic with the goal, his first of the season. Huge start for the Fire and their new DP.

    • 2-0 Fire! Alvarez with the goal. Terrible defending from RSL, who let Alvarez cut in and fire. What a start from the Fire.
