Inclement weather has forced MLS to alter plans for one of this weekend’s matches.
The New England Revolution announced on Friday that Saturday’s match against Orlando City at Gillette Stadium has been postponed due to weather conditions. Saturday’s forecast is calling for extremely cold temperatures along with wind chills that are expected to take temperatures below 10 degrees.

As a result, the Revs and Orlando City will face off at Gillette Stadium on a rescheduled date of Sept. 2.
“All of us involved in this decision believe this is in the best interest of the fans, the players, and the game,” said Revolution President Brian Bilello. “We at the Revolution look forward to seeing all our fans at the Orlando game on September 2.”
The cancellation will see the Revs play their home opener against Minnesota United on March 25.
Precious snowflakes….according to Accuweather it will be 23 degrees at the 2:00pm kick-off with 20 mph winds. And here’s the link to the live cam at Gillette not a speck of snow in sight as of 4:17am: http://weather.weatherbug.com/weather-camera/?cam=FXBRG
Ah jeeze. How are we supposed to have a European schedule if these fans can’t sit outside in 10 degree weather? I mean there’s no way to really predict this.
wimps……
