Eryk Williamson continued his excellent play for the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team with a dominant performance, leading the U.S. to victory and helping the team earn a World Cup bid to South Korea.

The D.C. United academy product began his stellar game with an assist to Emmanuel Sabbi in the 18th minute. Receiving the ball from Luca De La Torre, Williamson turned and clipped a ball through to an on-rushing Emmanuel Sabbi for a calm finish.

Seven minutes later, Williamson scored the goal of the CONCACAF U-20 World Cup qualifying tournament, from a half volley, which proved to be the game winner for the U.S. Following a Brooks Lennon cross, Williamson took a clearance from an El Salvador defender off of his chest, before ripping it off the post and in from 25 yards out.

Over the course of the match, Williamson was the most influential attacker for the U.S, earning him SBI Man of the Match honors over Sabbi and De La Torre.

What did you think of Williamson’s performance? Who was your U.S. U-20 Man of the Match?
