Soccer Friday: Your Running Commentary

The weekend’s soccer begins today, with several leagues in play, featuring multiple Americans.

Fresh off securing a spot in the Champions League quarterfinals, Borussia Dortmund and Christian Pulisic host FC Ingolstadt, featuring fellow American Alfredo Morales in Bundesliga action. Meanwhile, in the English Championship, German-American manager David Wagner continues in the hunt for promotion with Huddersfield Town as they face a Bristol City side looking to avoid relegation. Later in the day, Liga MX will have Santos Laguna visiting Tijuana, featuring Michael Orozco before he heads to international duty with the U.S. Men’s national team.

Also on Friday’s slate are a pair of Ligue 1 matches in France, as Metz takes on Bastia and Lille face Marseille. Meanwhile, Las Palmas and Villarreal face off in the weekly Friday match in La Liga, with Villarreal just four points behind Atletico Madrid and a place in the top four.
