Soccer Saturday: Your Running Commentary

Chelsea and Tottenham are preparing for a fierce battle in the coming weeks for the English Premier League title, but first they must settle things in the FA Cup.

The London clubs square off in the FA Cup semifinals on Saturday at Wembley Stadium, with the winner taking on the winner of Sunday’s Arsenal-Manchester City semifinal. Tottenham recently topped Chelsea, 2-0, in league play and will enter with the momentum.

Christian Pulisic and Borussia Dortmund saw their UEFA Champions League dreams ended last week, and now the focus is on securing an automatic place in next season’s version of the tournament.

Dortmund sits in fourth place in the German Bundesliga, two points behind Hoffenheim for the third and final automatic place in next season’s UEFA Champions League. Fourth place still means a spot in the tournament, but through the qualifying rounds, so Dortmund will want to use its game in hand to earn three points against local rival Borussia Moenchengladbach. Fabian Johnson is still sidelined for Moenchengladbach, but his team should still provide a tough test for Dortmund.

  1. Bobby Wood just had a good chance in front of goal but hit it softly right at the keeper.
Otherwise having a good game from what I’ve seen.
