Akinola makes it 2 goals and an assist today 5-0 as we are in extra time. And the ref shows mercy and blows his whistle to end the match.
Thanks for the updates. Glad the US took care of business.
Sargent pokes one past the Jamaicans during a bit of indecision between the CB and the keeper, 3-0 USA. Sargent and Akinola have looked very good. And as I type Akinola adds a goal to his stat line 4-0 US. Wonder if Ayo will get some minutes with TFC’s first team this season.
Akinola sets up Weah for the easy tap in (unless your name is Wondolowski that is) US up 2-0 and a little breathing room.
At the 2nd half water break US up 1-0. Just not finishing well or it could be 4 or 5 nothing. Dangerous letting Jamaica hang around.
Carleton earns a pk in the 20th, but flubs the kick softly to the keeper. Maybe a little soccer karma because the penalty was a little soft.
At the 12 min mark the Jamaican keeper “needed” treatment. It took 5 mins for the “trainer” to come out take off his boots and socks, rub water on his legs and then put everything back on. The trainer spent an extra minute trying to put the keepers right boot on his left foot.
Match actually on concacaf’s youtube channel for those of you without facebook
Univision won’t air the first US u17 qualifier but will air the next 2
