The semifinals of the UEFA Champions League begin with a Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. This is a rematch of the 2014 and 2016 finals, with Real succeeding in both. However, these sides drew, 1-1, on April 8 at the same venue.

The FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup continues as well, with four more matches on display. Defending champion Portugal takes on the United Arab Emirates, while Brazil faces Japan.
