Soccer This Weekend

With both big international matches and a full MLS lineup on the schedule, this weekend is a busy one across the soccer landsacape.

Action is headlined by the U.S. Men’s National Team, who face off with Ghana on Saturday in a pre-Gold Cup international friendly. The match could see the USMNT debut of four new faces, Dom Dwyer, Kelyn Rowe, Kenny Saeif and Cristian Roldan, as Bruce Arena’s inexperienced group looks to build chemistry ahead of the Gold Cup.

The Confederations Cup also wraps up over the weekend as Chile takes on Germany in the tournament finale. Mexico, meanwhile, faces off with Portugal for the tournament’s bronze medal.

Meanwhile, MLS continues with a full slate, headlined by the Cali Clasico between the LA Galaxy and San Jose Earthquakes. Elsewhere, FC Dallas faces off with Toronto FC, Sporting KC takes on the Portland Timbers and the Chicago Fire look to continue their run of form against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
