MLS is set to undergo a serious upgrade in FIFA 18.
EA Sports revealed on Sunday that the league would receive all new presentation including an exclusive new broadcast package. The game will also feature facial scannings of many more MLS stars while the LA Galaxy’s StubHub Center will join the Vancouver Whitecaps’ BC Place and Seattle Sounders’ CenturyLink Field as playable stadiums.
This year’s edition of FIFA is set to release on Sept. 29.
Here’s a closer look at the new broadcast package featuring MLS upgrades:

Same lame “in the us, the game really growing” line they’ve had in the game for 5 years.
Yeah that was stupid. Looks like all they’ve done is change some graphics and put in StubHub Center. Yay. I think this year I’ll finally break down and play with the commentary in Spanish just so I can hear something different for once. Probably be a good way to practice my Spanish anyway!
what does ‘broadcast package’ mean to someone who is not a gamer?
I assume it means the overlay and television style graphics that normally accompany an MLS broadcast. I haven’t played FIFA in a few years, but the presentations were sometimes unique to the league of the club you were playing in, or tournament/competition.
They even included different announcers based on the event, i.e. Club competitions vsand International play.
Frankly, given how big the market (I believe the United States buys the most FIFA copies in the world), I’m surprised they have catered to the league a bit more. Then again, perhaps a large demographic of those purchases from people in the States are buy FIFA players that yield little interest in MLS.
