  1. Jack Mac is also available and his salary is only 75k unless he has “locker room issues” he would be a decent pickup as a goal poacher who has a bit of speed.

  2. Surprised to see a number of names on this list, such as Joevin Jones, Beitashour, and Amarikwa, to name a few. LAFC should be able to get some good players out of this. There are a lot of things for them to consider besides ability, though–like age, expense, attitude, and injury history. That’s why it is so hard to predict who they will take, especially since there is still the draft, international signings, free agents, etc., plus the salary cap they have to work under.

    • Joevin Jones is going to Germany, so this is really “rights to Joevin Jones if and when he comes back,” not “Joevin Jones, who’ll be there for spring training.” Assuming I understand how the contracts and drafts and stuff works in MLS. Actually, assuming _anyone_ understands that…

  3. LAFC could do worse than Beitashour, Edu and Perirrnelle to join Zimmerman and build a solid defense. All are experienced and with Zimmerman and Gaber would allow for flexible defensive options for various opponents.

I suppose there is the worry about Perrinelle and Edu’s ages and injury histories, but both seemed to have recovered at the end of this season. Neither likely has a long time left to play, but they could serve as stalwarts until younger players can take over.

    • Agree that there are some good options out there, but I don’t see Edu as one of them. He’s been sidelined for too long with injuries to be considered IMO. Not sure how many selections they get to make, but some of the names I could see selected would be….
Christian Dean (CHI) could be an option to look at. Not really a proven player but has the right size & skills to be a partner to Zimmerman.
Luis Gil (Loan) could be a good midfielder pick-up if they can get him at a good price.
Connor Lade (NYRB) a decent option/depth at wide mid or defense.
Harry Shipp (Sounders) a possible day 1 starter.
